High-level Herblore Potions - 07 Oct 2009

Source: runescape.com

This week, high-level herbalists will find a variety of new, untradeable potions at their disposal. Using your increased knowledge of the Herblore skill, you will find you now have the ability to add tertiary ingredients to some potions to increase their effect.

These potions aren't just limited to stat boosts either. Have you ever wanted to take your godsword on dragon-slaying trips? Now's your chance, with the super antifire potion (at level 84). Are you approaching near mastery of the Herblore skill? If so, there’s a potion that may just ‘overload’ your entire body (at level 96) – dare you drink it?

On a side note, those who can mix the extreme magic potion will find it doesn't work in a similar way to its lower-level equivalents. When used, this potion will boost all offensive spell damage by 40% for a duration of six minutes, and will stack with magic staves that boost magic damage.

In other news...

As part of the conversion of the worn interface and inventory to a newer internal file format, certain items now have clearer right-click options when using them. For example, the amulet of glory now lists the four different destinations it can take you to instead of just saying 'Operate'.

The Game Engine team have made sure the player list is now randomised to prevent priority being given to some players over others because of their IP address.

You can now navigate around the world map using arrow keys.

They already have a skillcape isn't that good enough? Lol. Just kidding. This is a great update for people with high herblore, gives them some kind of benifits for using so much money into the skill. Also a great way to bring herblore back into the public eye. The downside is that it is going to mess up the Grand Exchange prices for herbs, and seeds. Overall update rank from 1 to 10. (7) Start ranking the update if you would. :)

#1 atleast i would use part of my rsn, instead of 11111111111111111, #2 well then people who spend money get benefits, i only got told that they can't be, unlike you who seems to have researched the whole concept of these pots in pvp.

Haste @ 10 Oct 2009 01:42 pm
1) "15k people are gonna be 2hitting everybody" it cant be used on pvp worlds, 2) "they take 50 hp away" theres a reason why food is on scape. 3) "there not tradeable" gives everybody who spent 180mil on there level something for them. so yeah stop complaining.

To you whiney losers whining about the potions update, at least this update gives the good players or the players that actually work hard for their levels & gear; a chance to show off what they have earnt and enjoy their time they've put into it, other than allowing every poor slack gamer to get the best stuff.

Too poor for Herblore unless I decide to make money, which I won't. Since I'm currently going for 91 Runecrafting but yeah, doesn't mean anything to me. x] Herbs, secondaries and much more are hard to buy now since everyone wants to train it etc.

Great update.. for thos who have ridiculously high herblore.. So 15k of the players now own in all situations.. and the rest of us... well we are stuck with nothing apart from being unable to buy any pots. LAME UPDATE.

P I Z K @ 08 Oct 2009 08:48 am
wtf? i mean, atleast make theyre tradeble, not so that the rich players will own more non-rish players. I'm sure taht if jagex adding anything more stupid, they will lose LOADS of players. this update sucks!

The potions are gonna be great to any PvPer that has high herblore, good thing is that their not tradeable too, which separates the slackers from the pros ;)

I_eatbabiez @ 07 Oct 2009 11:00 pm
lame.. makes it even easier to 2 hit people, if they keep adding retarted updates like these, they ( Jagex ) needs to increase the max hp level or change how defence works..

veggi40 @ 07 Oct 2009 10:37 pm
very worth getting extreme prayer pots but the overload potion is stupid i mean -50hp just to power up 5 stats? no thanks
#7
RaNarumato @ 07 Oct 2009 09:27 pm
This MIGHT want to make me get herbalore...

I'll see how far I can get.

dat rofl (formally 13ounty k0) @ 07 Oct 2009 08:29 pm
these pots rn't rly worth.
They each actually hurt the drinker.
Overload is prob an assasin in water.
It snacks on 50 hp, in 5 chunks of 10.
and it takes 30k to make.

Odoardo102 @ 07 Oct 2009 04:40 pm
